This 2000 year old bronze coin is set in sterling silver, then finished with a 19 inch pewter chain allowing this artifact to be admired. The necklace comes with a certification card for the coin giving a description of the Empire it is from.

Emperor Aurelian (270 – 275 A.D).  He helped the Roman Empire regain its power during the latter part of the third century and the beginning of the fourth. Aurelian strengthened the position of the Sun god, Sol or Oriens, as the divinity of the Roman pantheon. His intention was to give to all the peoples of the Empire, civilian or soldiers, easterners or westerners, a single god they could believe in without betraying their own gods.
