Description

This 2000 year old bronze coin is set in sterling silver, then finished with 18 inches of pewter chain, allowing this artifact to be admired. The necklace comes with a certification card for the coin giving a description of the Empire it is from.

(337-340 A.D.) Son of Constantine the Great. Joint emperor with his brothers Constantius and Constans. Constantine II was involved in military expeditions from an early age.  In 323 A.D. he took part in Constantine I’s campaigns against the Sarmatians. Soon after the death of his half-brother Cripus in 326 A.D. at the age of 10 he was nominally put in command of Gaul. Constantine II’s generals apparently won a victory over the Alamanni.  The picture on the coin shows Constantine II as a young noble ceasar on the reverse of the coin is a watch tower.
